Snowed in? Why not submit a writing sample to be c Snowed in? Why not submit a writing sample to be considered for our 24 Hour Play Fest 👀❄ What are we looking for? A writing sample that shows your writing style, preferably in a 10-minute play format. Show us how you create characters, write dialogues and build worlds on stage. What are you signing up for? A chaotic 24 hours you'll never forget. If selected, you'll join 7 other writers on Friday March 13th to randomly form 8 teams of a Writer, Director and up to 4 actors. A secret theme will be revealed AND a secret line that ONLY the non-participating committee members know. At that time, you'll get about an hour to meet your team, then you'll head home and write them a brand new script including that secret line based on that secret theme. And, you'll need to submit that by 5AM on Saturday March 14th. Then, your team will rehearse for the whole day and perform your brand new script that night at 8PM. Why would anyone do this? It's a fun and fast way to experience the magic of theater take place in a single day. And, prizes are awarded to Best Writer in the Fan Favorite, Audience Choice and Judge's Choice categories. Plus, we feed you Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on Saturday if you choose to check in on your team. Still interested? Visit woodtheater.org/playfest26 to sign up NOW. We received an incredible piece of mail today. A We received an incredible piece of mail today. Addressed to our Executive Director and Board of Directors - an immensely thoughtful handwritten note acknowledging the work we and all American theaters do to build communities and create moments that matter. The return address was Hoboken NJ and the name not one we had in our system. Upon further investigation, the author has commit to writing over 10,000 thank you notes. What a touching, inspiring and rejuvenating message to receive and a powerful movement to be a part of. The work it takes to run a full-time, year-round, non-profit performing arts space is always tireless and often thankless - we are beyond touched to receive this and be reminded that what we do matters. The Theater is between Exits 18 & 19 of Interstate 87 in downtown Glens Falls, NY, between Crandall Public Library and the Glens Falls Civic Center.

Limited on-street parking is available downtown. Municipal parking can be found nearby the theater in public lots located on Elm, Ridge, South, and Oakland Street.
