World premiere stage adaptation of Anthony Richichi’s Award Winning Children’s Book Colorworld!

Colorworld is the story of a little boy named Henry who discovers a magical treasure of art supplies that bring his drawings to life. Finding the power to change his World just by using his imagination, Henry joins his new best friend, Captain Tony, as they explore the magical lands of COLORWORLD!

CALL FOR ARTISTS AGES 6-12!

During the run of COLORWORLD LIVE, we’ll have a lobby gallery full of works by Artists Ages 6-12! See below for how to get your class or child involved!

  • Pieces should be based on one of the below prompts.
  • Pieces should be no larger than an 8.5×11 piece of paper.
  • Pieces can be any medium (paint, pencil, marker, crayon, etc)
  • One entry per artist, please!
  • On the reverse of the piece, please include the Artist’s Name (First Name, Last Initial is ok if you prefer!)
    Age, School or Hometown, which prompt they worked from and a phone or e-mail for a guardian/teacher.
  • We will do our best to fit ALL pieces in the Gallery and will use additional space if needed. If we are unable to utilize a piece(s) – we will contact you.

DROP OFF: At the Wood Theater between 12PM-5PM on January 7th, 8th or 9th.

PICK UP: At the Wood Theater between 12PM-5PM on January 28th, 29th or 30th. 

You are NOT required to pick up artwork following, but should you wish to pick them up, please do! If the above Drop Off/Pick Up times do not work for you but you wish to participate, please contact us at boxoffice@woodtheater.org to arrange an alternate time.

ARTIST PROMPTS

1. In COLORWORLD, anything Henry draws becomes real! Draw a scene you would love to see come to life for you to explore!

2. In COLORWORLD, Captain Tony helps Henry explore the scenes he draws! Draw your own Superhero that you would like to explore with!

3. In COLORWORLD, Henry meets lots of Animals that he brings to life by drawing them! Draw an Animal you would most like to meet!

4. In COLORWORLD, Henry is a BIG fan of Vincent Van Gogh! Look at some of Van Gogh’s famous works and use them as inspiration!
