DRAG QUEEN STORY HOUR THE MUSICAL

JUNE 6-8

A fun, family-friendly, gay-pride musical satire lampooning how banning LGBTQ books, flags and drag polarizes American small towns.

Dedicated to Scarlet Sagamore, the original canceled Drag performer from the violent protests at Rockwell Falls Public Library that made national headlines last year, this wild ride is a microcosm of the 141 violent Drag protests that marginalize gay youth, pitting fundamentalist homophobes against woke Yoo-Hoos as they wrangle over free speech, religious intolerance, identity and inclusion, responding to hate with humor and hope. All-star cast, melodic score, pointed but never preachy, a rallying cry during Pride month to Be who you are!

Presented by Adirondack Institute

This production is not affiliated with the California nonprofit corporation Drag Story Hour, the owner of U.S. trademark registrations for the “DRAG STORY HOUR” and “DRAG QUEEN STORY HOUR” marks, nor does it depict that entity or its programming.
